Luke Rose Jewellery - Custom Comments

Jewellery Care

Every piece of Luke Rose jewellery is exceptionally handcrafted to the highest standard, using only the finest quality metal and stones.

Whilst 9ct. white gold is tarnish resistant due to it's rhodium plating, 9ct. rose and yellow gold can be susceptible to tarnish, especially when in contact with perfume, lotions and hair care products. For this reason, always put your 9ct. gold jewellery on last when getting ready.

We recommend removing your 9ct. gold jewellery when you swim, bathe or whilst doing vigorous exercise, as your sweat will be acidic, which can dull the finish of your jewellery.

All Luke Rose 9ct. yellow and rose gold jewellery will come with a branded gold cloth. This can be used to gently rub your jewellery to bring back it's shine. We also recommend cleaning your gold jewellery with a soft brush and mild detergent or ammonia solution, making sure to rinse and dry the jewellery thoroughly afterwards.

We recommend you store your jewellery in it's original Luke Rose packaging when not being worn. This will protect it from getting scratched and will prevent necklaces and bracelets becoming tangled or knotted.

Gold Plated Jewellery Care

Gold plating is a more delicate finish and must be treated with extra care. To protect your jewellery, it is important to keep it dry. Always remove your jewellery before swimming, bathing or exercising.

Always put your gold plated jewellery on last when getting ready, this will help avoid contact with perfume, lotions and hair care products, all of which can damage the plating.

Plating can rub off over time and this is not considered a manufacturing fault. Your skins particular acidity level, and how you care for your jewellery, will influence the lifespan of your plating. Rings and necklaces are more prone to wear and tear than earrings for example.

Never rub your plated jewellery. It is OK to clean your jewellery with a damp soft cloth, making sure it is dry before wearing again. Never use jewellery polishing cloths or jewellery cleaners as this can fade your plating.

We recommend keeping your plated jewellery in its original packaging when not being worn, to avoid any damage.

We do offer a re-plating service if your plating is damaged. This is at a cost of $50. Click here to order this service.

Rhodium Plated Jewellery Care

Rhodium plating is usually only used on white gold, to give it a whiter, brighter appearance. We use the same luxurious process on all of our sterling silver jewellery as well as our white gold pieces. Rhodium plating prevents silver from tarnishing but also gives it the same rich, white appearance of white gold.

Rhodium plating can rub off over time and this is not considered a manufacturing fault. Your skins particular acidity level, and how you care for your jewellery, will influence the lifespan of your plating. Rings and bracelets are more prone to wear and tear than earrings or necklaces for example.
