London
After training at the Sir John Cass School of Art in London, Luke created his first collection in 1996. Soon after the success of his graduation show, he was picked up by prestigious London jewellers Jess James, where he was head of design and production for 10 years. It was here where he crafted his ambitions to create handcrafted pieces with a new unique aesthetic.
Early Awards
ICON & SLIDE
In 2010 Luke won the distinguished 'Design and Innovation Award' with his stunning, Hollywood inspired 'ICON' necklace. He became one of the only designers to win the award for the second time in 2013 with his 'SLIDE' ring. This stunning, 'Mondrian' diamond ring inspired his current 'SLIDE' collection.
Luke's talent had been recognised and in the same year he won a Goldsmiths Craft and Design Council Award - the Oscars of the jewellery world.
the brand
Luke Rose Jewellery was established in 2015 with a vision for "Slow Fashion"—a sustainable approach to design that rejects mass production and the chemical laden processes used in gold plating. Now working from Sydney, all jewellery is made by hand in Australia using responsibly sourced or recycled solid gold and silver.
Unfailingly wearable, Luke's pieces are worn by the most discerning celebrities—Jessica Alba, Kelly Rowland, Sophie Monk and Megan Blake Irwin, elevating his work to the fashion-forward jewellery to be seen wearing.
Australian Recognition
In 2017 Luke's talent was officially recognised in his adopted home country after he was announced as a finalist in The Jewellery Design Awards Australia.
Luke's work has also been published in Vogue, Elle, Grazia and 10 Magazine.
SYDNEY JEWELLERY BOUTIQUE OPENS
Luke Rose has now opened his flagship boutique in the historic Sydney suburb of Pyrmont, nine years after the brand's inception.
Situated on Union Square, just a 10-minute walk from the CBD, the boutique perfectly captures Luke's unique styling, offering a convenient and luxurious destination for both loyal customers and new admirers.
